A pretty Kew cottage where up-and-coming actor Lucy-Rose Leonard grew up is in the auction spotlight.

The five-bedroom family home at 120 Wellington St is for sale for the first time in almost 30 years, with a $2.4-$2.6 million price guide.

It’s where the TV and movie talent was raised by her mother, vendor Leonie Hurry.

Leonard has appeared in popular shows including Neighbours and Winners & Losers. She also stars with British actor John Cleese in Australian film The Naked Wanderer, which was released in August.

Marshall White Boroondara agent Nicholas Franzmann said Ms Hurry had also worked in theatre while living at the Kew house, where she raised three children.

“She extended and renovated the property shortly after buying it and the size of the entertainment area is really impressive,” Mr Franzmann said.

“It’s attracted a number of bright-eyed young couples who want to start a family.”

He added that the property is near Melbourne’s top schools including Genazzano College, where Leonard attended.

It’s scheduled for auction on October 26.
