THE luxury Vaucluse property in the name of Ian McLeod, partner of Reddam House founder Graeme Crawford, has sold for about $17 million.
The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home at 26-27 Olola Ave — with heated in-ground pool — on 2,268sqm had a price guide of $16.5 million to $17.3 million in the expressions of interest campaign through LJ Hooker Double Bay’s Bill Malouf and Clint Ballard.
Neither agent could be contacted, but the sale is likely to have been in the upper end of the price range — sources say $17 million — given the speed of recent prestige sales in the east.
It’s understood the buyer is from Woollahra.

“It’s a arguably the best elevated position in Vaucluse,” he said.

Whereas 12 Carrara Rd was a 762sqm block, the Vaucluse Rd property is 1031 sqm and although not beachfront reserve, he argues it has a better view. “It’s more majestic,” he said.
Ray White Double Bay’s Gavin Rubinstein said the best properties were continuing to collect premium prices.

“People aren’t going crazy … there’s some caution, but there are a lot of buyers and not a heck of a lot of choice,” he said.
