A Point Cook property in exclusive Sanctuary Lakes has sold for a whopping $2.385 million.

A local family snapped up the five-bedroom house on a 2150sq m block at 18 Greg Norman Drive at a well-attended auction on March 16.

Sanctuary Lakes Real Estate’s Fadi Saad said the property sold quickly under the hammer within the owners’ expectations.

“The auction took no more than 10 minutes and achieved a very good result, especially in this market,” he said.

The opulent home showcases a stunning spiral staircase.

CoreLogic records show the price is the second highest paid for a property in Sanctuary Lakes.

An eight-bedroom house at 21 Greg Norman Drive that sold for $2.655 million in December 2017 holds the record.

About 60 people attended the auction at No. 18, including three local families who competed for the home.

The kitchen is dressed to impress home chefs.

The buyers had been looking for a larger property for some time.

“They loved its size, space and surroundings,” Mr Saad said.

“And there is room to add a pool in the backyard.”

The house is in The Pinnacle gated-community area and backs on to a golf course.

“This is a tightly held area with only 32 quality homes on big blocks,” Mr Saad said.

The house is in resort-style surroundings.

Custom-built for previous owners, the house showcases a stunning design with soaring voids and a striking curved staircase in a hotel-style foyer.

There are four oversized bedrooms, a study or home office, an upstairs retreat or fifth bedroom, three bathrooms plus a powder room.

The backyard has room for a pool.

The palatial main bedroom features a spa and french doors opening to a balcony.

Four large living areas are designed for large-scale entertaining, while the dream kitchen will impress budding chefs.

A media entertainment room, outdoor entertainment area, a triple garage and all the creature comforts make for an enviable lifestyle.
