HOUSING affordability is opening Belmont to new families who are seeing value for money in a suburb just 12km from the city centre.
There are currently 19 properties on the market in Belmont where the median house price is $690,000.
The most recent sale was on Friday when the four-bedroom house at 25 Brandella Place sold for $745,000.

“First home buyers are coming from townhouses and are probably able to borrow $750,000-$800,000 combined and they can get better value in Belmont.”
