axa splashes out on light show for 101 collins

“We wanted to build on 101’s iconic status by creating something that engages with not only our tenants, but with the broader Melbourne community,” AXA head of funds management Brett Dillon said.

“AXA is consistently innovating with new initiatives at 101 Collins Street to ensure the building remains a leader in Melbourne’s fiercely competitive commercial market.”

The buildings lighting technology uses a Pharos control system, which is 50 per cent more energy efficient than the buildings previous lighting system.

Programmed shows will then take place daily – beginning at sunset, transitioning through a variety of hourly scenes before concluding at midnight.

101 Collins Street ranks among Australia’s five largest office towers and houses some of the largest and most respected corporate tenants in the country.

The tower’s tenants include Herbert Smith Freehills, Boston Consulting, Bain Capital, Solomon Lew’s Premier Investments and broking houses Macquarie Bank, JP Morgan and BNP Parabis.
