Bankwest Stadium a ‘Game Changer’ for Western Sydney

The 30,000 capacity stadium is expected to create approximately 1200 jobs during construction, and between 600 and 900 jobs once operational.

Bankwest managing director Rowan Munchenberg described the venue as a “critical piece of community infrastructure” in the “vibrant, diverse and growing corridor of Western Sydney”.

Bankwest Stadium is on track for a 2019 opening, with 14 regular-season NRL games commencing with Parramatta Eels versus Wests Tigers scheduled on Easter Monday.

The $30 million project is being delivered by a Lendlease consortium, which won the contract to design and build the stadium in late 2017, along with architect Populous managing the stadium design, and Aspect Studios responsible for the public realm surrounding the venue.
